Educational Curriculum Development
Long-term acquired experience and extensive expertise in school and university curricula
The Arab world is currently undergoing a rapid transformation, led by the evolution of educational curricula designed to meet the demands of the digital era and the changing needs of society. Driven by a steadfast commitment to community service and the vital mission of preparing future generations for 21st-century challenges, we provide students with the knowledge and skills essential for societal advancement and sustainable development. To this end, we have actively contributed to numerous curriculum development projects across various Arab nations.
The curriculum development process has its own challenges, including the obvious cultural differences between Arab and foreign curricula, teacher training, and the approval of the Ministry of Education’s review committees for the new curriculum, including scientific objectives, educational content, exercises, tests, etc.
One of our most important initiatives in this field is working with universities for many years on developing translation curricula, whether they are public, private, or international universities. We have offered many free courses to university students to equip them with the skills required for the current labor market. We also conduct internship courses with seven Egyptian universities using our own program.
Cultural Differences
We are not only talking here about avoiding inappropriate details in our Arab homeland, but we are talking about content that is entirely suitable for the Arab student according to the target country. For instance, an example of calculating the height of the Eiffel Tower is changed to Cairo Tower if the curriculum is for Egyptian schools, and to the Burj Khalifa if the curriculum is for UAE school students. Every adaptation is carefully mapped against the lesson’s educational goals. Our specialists review each change to guarantee that the intended learning objectives are fully preserved
Teachers’ Training
Teachers need training on how to teach new school curricula effectively. This can pose a major challenge due to the difficulty of change and the scarcity of qualified teachers. At DEC, we take pride in preparing an integrated program for teacher training, linking educational objectives to lessons, and clarifying the new parts easily so that the team of teachers can perform its mission successfully.
